Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- More than six years after Cornell University sued Hewlett-Packard Co., alleging massive infringement of a Cornell patent for boosting computer speed, the trial in the $575 million case is underway in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. The trial is expected to last a month in a dispute that is the largest in recent history for both Cornell and HP, The Post-Standard of Syracuse, N.Y., reported last week.
