Lilly Moves Zyprexa Suit To Federal Court

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Eli Lilly & Co. has removed a lawsuit brought against it by the state of Arkansas to federal court, saying that the litigation over the anti-psychotic drug Zyprexa raises a broad range of federal issues, such as Medicaid funding and federal control of drug labeling.

Lilly's motion for removal, filed filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, notes that similar cases have been moved to federal court – six cases brought by states have been folded into the multidistrict Zyprexa...
