Enterasys Infringed 3 Router Tech Patents: Jury

Law360 (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal jury has found that Enterasys Networks Inc.'s routers infringe three patents held by rival networking company Extreme Networks Inc., awarding Extreme Networks more than $200,000 in royalties.

The jury issued its verdict Friday after a two-week trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, awarding $67,071 in royalties for each infringed patent.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Extreme Networks first filed suit against Enterasys in April 2007, claiming infringement of three networking patents, U.S. Patent Numbers 6,104,700; 6,678,248; and 6,859,438.
