Attorneys General Line Up Behind Siegelman

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dozens of state attorneys general have reportedly voiced their support for former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman, who is appealing a 2006 conviction on bribery and corruption charges that some say was orchestrated by the Bush administration.

On Friday, 54 state attorneys general, led by former New York Attorney General Robert Abrams, filed a brief urging the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to toss out Siegelman's previous conviction, according to the Associated Press.
