Credit Suisse Banker Gets 10 Years

Law360, New York (June 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has sentenced a former Credit Suisse investment banker to 10 years behind bars for allegedly passing on nonpublic information about nine pending mergers and acquisitions that the bank was handling.

Judge Robert P. Patterson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York also ordered Hafiz Muhammed Zubair Naseem to forfeit $7.5 million and mandated three years of supervised release following his time behind bars.
