Market Rumors: Qalaa, Avolon Holdings, Bangkok Airways

By Benjamin Horney (October 1, 2014, 5:11 PM EDT) -- Egyptian investment company Qalaa Holdings may issue up to 4 billion Egyptian pounds ($559.6 million) worth of shares in order to help the company better control its core investments and end years of losses, according to a Wednesday Reuters report. The share issue would allow investors to swap Qalaa share for larger stakes in firms that the company has invested in, according to the report. If the share swap is successful, it could boost Qalaa's capital from 8 billion Egyptian pounds to 12 billion Egyptian pounds, the report said....
