Deep-Sea Dive Company Sinks Into Ch. 11

Law360, New York (June 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ecotourism company Deep Ocean Expeditions LLC, which offers submersible diving trips to locales like the site of the RMS Titanic and assisted director James Cameron during the filming of his "Ghosts of the Abyss" documentary, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The Seattle-based company, founded by Australian explorer Mike McDowell, filed a voluntary petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington on May 28, listing assets of between $10 million and $50 million and liabilities of between $1 million and $10...
