Judge Takes Air Out Of Tire Lawsuit

Law360, New York (March 24, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge threw out a class action lawsuit alleging that Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. deliberately released inaccurate financial results in order to inflate its stock prices.

"We are pleased that the Court has dismissed the lawsuit, which we have always believed to be without merit," said C. Thomas Harvie, Goodyear senior vice president and general counsel, in a statement.
