Germany Fails To Assuage EU Over Volkswagen Law

Law360, New York (June 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has commenced enforcement proceedings against the German government over its alleged failure to make the necessary tweaks to its Volkswagen law.

On Thursday, the European Union said it had opened infringement proceedings against Germany because country had not yet complied with a ruling handed down last year by the European Court of Justice.
