InComm Sued Over Patents For Prepaid Phone Cards

Law360, New York (June 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A patent-holding company has launched a suit against Interactive Communications International Inc. and one of its telecommunication units, accusing InComm Holdings Inc. and U.S. South Communications Inc. of infringing two patents related to prepaid phone cards.

Marshall Patent Holdings LLC filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging the phone-card providers, both headquartered in Atlanta, infringe on U.S. Patent Numbers 5,790,636 and 6,295,344, titled “Telephone card system under the control of its customers.”
