Brussels Snapshot: Shearman & Sterling

Law360, New York (March 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- With only three competition partners and an equal number of associates on staff in Brussels, Shearman & Sterling’s Brussels office has made inroads into the Brussels capital using less human capital than many of its competitors.

Part of the reason, according to Managing Partner Hans Jürgen Meyer-Lindemann, is the ability of attorneys in the firm’s worldwide antitrust group to coordinate their efforts and combine their strengths.

The same ability will come into play once again if evolving regulations at the European Commission continue to spread competition...
