Catheter Maker Rounds Up Rivals In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (June 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Newport Beach, Calif.-based patent-holding firm has ensnared Boston Scientific Corp., Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic Inc. in an infringement suit over its medical device technology to insert catheters.

Cardio Access LLC filed the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging the medical device companies and their subsidiaries violated its patent covering medical tools known as cannulae.
