OFT Clears Air France KLM Merger With Belgian Airline

Law360, New York (June 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Air France KLM SA's bid to acquire Belgian airline NVM Airlines NV has been given the green light by British regulators, with a caveat that the carriers must comply with certain conditions in order to avoid restricting competition.

In a decision reached on May 9 and published on June 10, the U.K. Office of Fair Trading approved the merger on the condition that the newly combined company follow a series of undertakings that Air France submitted when it first applied for approval of the deal....
