White House Nominates Michelle Lee To Head USPTO

Law360, New York (October 16, 2014, 7:21 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday nominated former Google Inc. deputy general counsel Michelle Lee to serve as director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which she has led on an interim basis for several months.

Lee became the deputy director of the USPTO in January and has been acting as director since then. The official director position has been vacant since since David Kappos left the post in January 2013.
