Medtronic Suffers Fresh Defeat In Stent Dispute

Law360, New York (March 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hot off its arbitration win against Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic Inc. has been hit with a bucket of cold water, after a federal judge denied the medical device maker’s request for a new trial this week in a separate dispute over stent products.

On Tuesday, Medtronic revealed that Chief U.S. District Judge Sue Robinson of the U.S.District Court in Delaware denied a post-trial motion in the long-standing patent infringement case, while vowing to appeal the ruling.
