N.Y. AG To Sue Drugstore Chains Over Old Goods

Law360 (June 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The New York attorney general said Thursday that he intends to sue CVS Caremark and Rite Aid Corp. for selling expired products, including baby formula and over-the-counter medications, in their stores.

The office of Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo sent the stores notices that he intended to sue within five days unless they told him why he shouldn't take action. The notice is required by state statute.
