NJ Voters Expand Sick Leave Rights To Trenton, Montclair

Law360, New York (November 4, 2014, 10:22 PM EST) -- New Jersey's capital city and a suburban township in Essex County have become the latest municipalities in the state to approve paid sick leave measures, with local voters Tuesday backing referendums on whether to force employers to provide those benefits to workers.

The Trenton measure easily passed by a vote of 5,756 to 993, according to unofficial election results. Meanwhile, the Montclair measure passed in a vote of 5,878 to 2,014, according to unofficial results from that municipality.
