Family Dollar Pays $2.3M To Settle Manager OT Class Action
Law360, New York (October 30, 2014, 6:20 PM EDT) -- A Colorado federal judge signed off Thursday on a $2.3 million class action settlement resolving allegations that Family Dollar Stores Inc. improperly classified store managers as exempt from overtime.
Under a deal approved by U.S. District Judge Raymond P. Moore, Family Dollar would provide payments to 488 class members, including lead plaintiff Julie Farley, to resolve allegations that the discount retailer violated Colorado wage law when it declined to pay overtime to store managers.
