Ex-Fleet Bank Exec Admits To Distressed Loan Fraud

Law360, New York (June 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former vice president of Fleet Bank and later Bank of America Corp. has pled guilty to conspiracy to commit financial institution bribery and bank fraud.

In a plea agreement entered Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, former executive Kevin O'Keefe said that he conspired with a Connecticut real estate agent and attorney to take advantage of his position at Fleet Bank and later at Bank of America after the bank acquired Fleet.
