Executives Face Charges Tied To Swissair Collapse

Law360, New York (March 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Swiss prosecutors filed charges Friday against 19 managers and former board members of Swissair, the carrier that was permanently grounded five years ago, leaving thousands of investors, creditors and passengers in the lurch.

Two former Swissair chief executives, Philippe Bruggisser and ex-Nestle SA executive Mario Corti, as well as Swissair board member Lukas Muehlemann, who was the former CEO and chairman of Credit Suisse Group, are included in the charges.
