Nuance Sues Vlingo Over Voice Recognition Patent

Law360, New York (June 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Speech and imaging technology company Nuance Communications Inc. is suing Vlingo Corp. for alleged infringement of Nuance's patent for voice recognition technology.

The complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claims Vlingo, which specializes in voice recognition technology for mobile phones, infringes Nuance’s patent on a technique for adapting a speech recognition system to individuals and groups.
