Gateway Punished For Alleged Evidence Destruction

Law360 (March 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A trial between Gateway Inc. and a former IBM engineer has yet to begin, but a federal judge has already slapped Gateway computer giant with sanctions amid allegations the company intentionally destroyed critical evidence in the case.

U.S. District Judge Ted Stewart issued the punishment in federal district court in Salt Lake City earlier this month, with the order unsealed on Thursday.
