Appeals Court Tosses Suit Over Ford Door Handles

Law360, New York (June 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Massachusetts appeals court on Friday tossed a proposed class action against Ford Motor Co. over allegedly noncompliant door handles in some of the company's cars, but gave the plaintiffs leave to amend their claims for breach of implied warranty.

The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts had on its own initiative transferred the case to its appeals court division, after dismissing most of the claims against Ford except the implied-warranty claims.
