Parmalat Claims Against Ex-CEO Approved

Law360, New York (June 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Parmalat SpA reportedly received an Italian judge's approval Wednesday to pursue claims for damages in a criminal trial against a group of former executives.

Judge Eleonora Fiengo, in the Italian town of Parma, affirmed current Parmalat Chief Executive Enrico Bondi's request for compensation in a case in which the company's founder, Calisto Tanzi, and 23 former executives stand accused of fraudulent bankruptcy and criminal association, Dow Jones News reported on Wednesday.
