$15M Verdict Tossed In Win For Amazon, Ingram

Law360 (April 3, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- One year after a jury ordered Amazon.com Inc. and Ingram Industries Inc., the nation's leading provider of on-demand book printing, to pay $15 million on charges that they infringed a patent for printing books, an appeals court has tossed the verdict, saying the decision was based on a misinterpretation of the patent held by On Demand Machine Corp.
