Marvell, Wi-LAN End Spat Over Circuit Patents

Law360 (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Marvell Semiconductor Inc. and Canadian patent licensing group Wi-LAN Inc. announced Friday they have settled a dispute over patents for communications processors, and each side has agreed to cover its own costs in the lawsuit.

Marvell's suit, lodged in October 2007 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, sought declaratory relief after Wi-LAN notified the chip maker that its PxA90x communications processor integrated circuit family infringed three of Wi-LAN's patents.
