W. Va. Newspaper Antitrust Case Forges Ahead

Law360, New York (June 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit by the U.S. Department of Justice alleging that the sale of a Charleston, W. Va., newspaper violated antitrust laws will move forward, after a judge refused to dismiss the case.

On Thursday, Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. of the Southern District of West Virginia rejected a motion by the Daily Gazette Co. and MediaNews Group Inc. to dismiss the suit.
