EEOC, Airline Fueling Co. Reach Deal In Race Bias Dispute
Law360, New York (December 3, 2014, 6:09 PM EST) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Tuesday it has reached a settlement in the agency's suit alleging that airline fueling company Swissport Fueling Inc. discriminated against several African employees based on their race and national origin.
The agreement with Swissport, which the EEOC announced Tuesday but was approved by an Arizona federal judge on Nov. 25, would put to rest a suit the agency brought on behalf of 14 current and former employees at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport who were allegedly subjected to harassment based on their race, national origin and color.
