RIM, General Imaging Sued Over Camera Patents

Law360 (June 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd. and digital camera maker General Imaging Co. have become the latest targets for alleged infringement of St. Clair Intellectual Property Consultants Inc. patents for formatting digital media.

Michigan-based IP company St. Clair filed a complaint against RIM and General Imaging on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claiming that the technology companies are infringing four patents for digital cameras that allow captured images to be saved under various file formats.
