Nike Sues 3 Star Designers Over Jump To Adidas

By Bill Donahue (December 10, 2014, 1:07 PM EST) -- Nike Inc. says three of its former star shoe designers stole a "treasure trove" of trade secrets when they left this year for rival Adidas AG in a lawsuit filed Monday in Oregon.

The suit says three of Nike's biggest-name designers, Denis Dekovic, Marc Dolce and Mark Miner, schemed to set up their own design studio in Brooklyn to mimic Nike's Kitchen design lab, then successfully pitched the idea to Adidas with the promise of insider Nike info. All three were also bound by noncompetes, Nike says.
