SAP To Pay I2 $83M To Settle Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (June 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Supply-chain technology company i2 Technologies Inc. has reached a settlement agreement with SAP AG, under which SAP will pay $83.3 million to license certain patents for supply-chain management computer programs in return for the dismissal of pending patent infringement litigation.

The settlement, which the companies signed on Monday, puts to rest a lawsuit i2 filed against SAP and its U.S. subsidiary SAP Americas Inc. in September 2006 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
