Judge Cements Congoleum's Stay In Chapter 11

Law360, New York (June 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge has refused to give in to mounting pressure to either dismiss or convert the Chapter 11 case of Congoleum Corp., ruling that the flooring manufacturer is right where it belongs for now.

On Thursday, , much to the relief of the sheet and tile flooring maker's creditors, Judge Kathryn Ferguson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey vacated an order to show cause why the longstanding case should not be converted to Chapter 7 or tossed out altogether....
