After Roadblocks, Judge Allows Aloha Claim Sale

Law360 (June 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has approved a request for bankrupt Aloha Airline to sell its potential recovery in an antitrust lawsuit against Mesa Air Group Inc. to Yucaipa Corporate Initiative Fund I for more than $10 million.

In an order Friday, Judge Lloyd King of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaii approved the deal. He had taken issue with the deal at a previous hearing, saying the transaction would be unfair because other potential buyers were excluded from bidding.
