Epson Piles On Another Lawsuit Over Ink Cartridges

Law360, New York (April 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Determined to keep its intellectual property out of competitors’ hands, Japan’s Seiko Epson Corp. has filed a fresh lawsuit against two dozen companies claiming they are infringing its patents for printer ink cartridges.

The move marks the fourth lawsuit in the long-running debate, asserting fresh patents against many of the same companies involved in an investigation at the U.S. International Trade Commission and two lawsuits in U.S. federal district courts.
