Fuji Wins Partial Judgment In Disposable Camera Suit

Law360, New York (July 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A long-standing patent dispute between Fujifilm Corp. and the makers of refurbished disposable cameras is again headed for trial after a federal judge ruled that Fuji's patents cover products at issue in the case.

Judge Katherine S. Hayden of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey granted Fuji partial summary judgment on the issue against defendants Jazz Products LLC and its president, Jack C. Benun, along with manufacturers Polytech Entrprises Ltd. and Polytech (Shenzhen) Camera Co. Ltd.
