Mount Sinai Docs Don't Have To Testify In WTC Dust Trials

Law360, New York (January 7, 2015, 6:07 PM EST) -- Doctors from Mount Sinai Hospital's World Trade Center Health Program do not have to appear as expert witnesses in coming trials for plaintiffs who say they were exposed to toxic dust while working near the downtown Manhattan disaster site, but the hospital must share its data, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

The decision came from U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein, who is presiding over the complex disaster site litigation, after oral arguments failed to convince him that the Mount Sinai doctors' opinions about the causes...
