Lexington Settles With United Health Cos. In Coverage Row

Law360, New York (January 9, 2015, 12:50 PM EST) -- Lexington Insurance Co. and Sierra Health Services Inc. entered a confidential settlement Thursday in Nevada federal court releasing a $2 million policy to Sierra Health and ending litigation over Lexington’s duty to defend the health insurer in an underlying class action over a hepatitis C outbreak.

The parties said that once the $2 million liability limit, which had been deposited with the court, was released to Sierra, they will file a stipulation and order to dismiss the suit with prejudice. Lexington had sued United Healthcare Services...
