Suit Says Citgo Played Favorites With Distributors

Law360, New York (July 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Oklahoma gasoline distributor has filed a proposed class action against Citgo Petroleum Corp. alleging that Citgo secretly charged different prices to different distributors as part of a strategy to boost sales.

In a complaint filed on June 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, Stephenson Gas Co., a reseller of Citgo gas, said that Citgo has extended special discounts to distributors in certain areas.
