SEC Guidelines For Journalist Subpoenas Revised

Law360, New York (April 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has clarified its guidelines regarding the issuance of subpoenas to journalists, revising the rules so that “the guidelines are now clearly and publicly articulated," according to SEC spokesman John Heine.

The SEC and the media share a common objective, according to a statement released Wednesday.
