Bombay Co. Disclosure Statement Approved

Law360, New York (July 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing the Chapter 11 proceedings of home-furnishing retailer The Bombay Company Inc. has approved the company’s disclosure statement and set a date for a confirmation hearing on Bombay’s liquidation plan.

Judge D. Michael Lynn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas on Thursday approved the disclosure statement for the first amended consolidated joint plan of liquidation submitted by The Bombay Co., its bankrupt subsidiaries and its official committee of unsecured creditors.

A confirmation hearing is set for Aug. 20....
