McDermott Fights St. Vincent's Claims Over Fees

Law360, New York (July 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- While the bankruptcy judge overseeing St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York's Chapter 11 proceedings was wrong to slash attorneys' fees for McDermott Will & Emery LLP, he was right not to award damages to the debtors, the law firm has argued in a mounting dispute over its earnings in the case.

McDermott took aim on Monday at a cross-claim St. Vincent's and its creditors filed in an appeal of the order on attorneys' fees. The law firm has argued that Judge Adlai Hardin Jr....
