K&L Gates Adds Ex-Prosecutor To Gov't Enforcement Practice

By Matt Sharp (February 2, 2015, 2:50 PM EST) -- K&L Gates LLP has snagged a former deputy chief of the securities and commodities fraud section from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois, the firm announced Monday, bolstering its Chicago office and government enforcement practice.

Clifford C. Histed joins the firm as a partner after more than eight years as a federal prosecutor. He will focus on securities and derivatives and commodity futures litigation. 

Histed, who spent over two decades in public service, told Law360 that he was attracted to the firm's international platform and opportunities to grow.
