DOJ Ends Apple Backdating Probe Without Charges

Law360, New York (July 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has reportedly wrapped up its probe into allegations of stock options backdating at Apple Inc. and has decided not to bring charges against the company or its top executives.

A spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office for the Northern District of California declined to comment, but a report in the Wall Street Journal Thursday said the office had ended its investigation and would not be charging anyone.
