EPA, Calif. Clean Air Groups Reach Understanding

Law360, New York (July 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has reached a proposed agreement with environmental and citizens' groups to abide by an updated timetable to approve or deny three implementation plans for cleaner air standards in California.

In a stipulation filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the EPA, the Natural Resources Defense Council and a citizens' association agreed to stay the case pending public comment on the proposed consent decree, which was lodged on June 30.
