Judge Approves NorthWestern Securities Settlement

Law360 (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Electric and gas utility company NorthWestern Corp. received court approval for a settlement with institutional investors that ends litigation relating to its 2003 bankruptcy filing, the company announced Thursday.

Judge Kevin J. Carney of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware signed off on the deal between NorthWestern, Magten Asset Management and Law Debenture Trust Company of New York, which was originally reached in March of this year.
