GNC, Wal-Mart Hit With More Suits Over Herbal Supplements

Law360, Miami (February 10, 2015, 4:45 PM EST) -- The wave of consumer class actions in the wake of the New York attorney general's investigation of mislabeled herbal supplements continued Tuesday with two new suits targeting GNC Holdings Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Florida and Ohio.

In a suit filed in the Southern District of Florida, lead plaintiff Kelly Reyes says that GNC's Herbal Plus products that claim to contain gingko biloba, St. John's wort, ginseng and echinacea actually do not have any of the herbs in them.
