Ex-IBM Employee Cops To Trade Secrets Theft

Law360, New York (July 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former IBM Corp. employee pled guilty Friday to a felony charge of stealing IBM's trade secrets, admitting that he gave a competitor confidential information, calling it “good stuff.”

Atul Malhotra allegedly gave Hewlett-Packard Development Co. LP a document containing confidential financial information, which he had obtained during his prior employment with IBM, according to charges filed June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
