Family Dollar Slapped With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (July 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Discount chain Family Dollar Stores of Florida Inc. has been hit with a collective action alleging it willfully violated the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act by bilking hourly employees out of overtime wages.

The suit — filed July 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida — asks for a jury trial, compensatory damages, interest, attorneys' fees and other costs related to the suit.
