Driver Slams Cement Co. With FLSA Complaint

Law360, New York (July 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former truck driver for Cemex Inc., the largest cement and ready-mix company in the U.S., has filed a purported collective action claiming that the company stiffed drivers for overtime pay.

Jose A. Albino filed the suit on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, claiming that Cemex violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying drivers time-and-a-half for time worked over 40 hours a week.
