Dell Sales Reps Get Conditional Class Certification

Law360 (July 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of sales representatives has earned collective action status in a wage-and-hour lawsuit that alleges Dell Inc. underpaid thousands of call center workers.

Magistrate Judge Thomas Coffin of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon conditionally certified the action under the Fair Labor Standards Act last week. The class is made up of all consumer sales representatives who have worked at Dell call centers between Feb. 8, 2004, and now.
